OldBill
A relative wants a cheapy air rifle with scope for £100-£120. I realise for that money it's going to be a springer. Is there a general consensus on a 1/2 decent rifle with scope for that money and where is the best place to get one from. It'd have to be as near to full power as poss, and would be used for some small furry creatures and general plinking. Oh, and yes .22 or .177? Thanks in advance. Theskyfox
I agree, look at the second hand market, there are some bargains to be had out there! .22 or .177 doesnt really matter...you can plink and hunt with either with no major difference really, it depends on the shooter and accuracy more than anything else. Good luck, -Andrew

Did cost £195 but got... a BSA Lightning (a few marks on stock, but fires like new!) with a 3-9x50 Tasco World Class sight! The gun and scope cost £165 and for a extra £30 i got a BSA Padded Gun Case, 500 .22 BSA Elites (practice pellets), 500 .22 RWS Super H Points , 25 Bisley Targets all for £195!
