fabarm gamma boy
how do! iv been shooting a fair few years now game and vermin but id rather decoy than any other type of shooting! genrally i can put a bag together every outing tho i have bad days just the same as anybody else! i have a permission that is alive with rooks and carrion crows iv tried on 3 occasions to decoy them without success! i build good hides and keep still at all times! hands and face covered up! i shoot rooks/ crows for a number of farms every weekend, weather depending and never came accross such a clever bunch of birds! this land has never been shot at least in the last few years anyway! i get them to the pattern but they stay high and circle the decoys( only on this perm) , to me this says they have spotted you, but how when im completely concealed and not moved a muscle! any tips welcome cheers guys! this happens even when iv set up in the dark to ? ?? The Ghost
Just a thought FGB, I was in Silloth last week shooting pigeon (got one) shot two crows out of frustration in a small wood. The next day I went round to see my brother-in-law, as we stood outside his house crows were flying past back and forward. I asked where they were going and he said to the rookery just up the road. We were right under the fight line and I could have shot a big bag full from his back garden. It may be worth sitting with a flask of coffee just to see what’s going on & finding out if you have a line in & out…..good luck marra Edited May 20, 2013 by The Ghost

The Ghost
You seem to be determined to get them so respect for not giving in, just in Silloth visiting family left 22 years ago. Had a trawler out of Maryport & Whitehaven down here in the Fens but looking to do some fowling this year on the Solway again.
eccles
Hi John how's thing mate. Don't think you will get much luck using a dead rabbit on rooks or jackdaws mate. Ok for carrion crows. Only thing i can say is you will have to find out where they are feeding. As i have said before more or less all of my crow shooting is on grass fields,or reseeded one's. I just drive around the day before and see what they are up to,then just set up where iv'e seen them. I'm going in the morning for a bash, not been for a few weeks got a itchy finger now. Nephew said he'd seen a lot on 1 of my farms,he better be right or he'll have a no6 ATVB Terry
