duc Posted May 21, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 21, 2013 the other rod had baited feathers on for bream and mackerel if u look at it u can see there was a fish on that one too but it was only a small doggie the rod the tope was on is a 7ft 20lb class boat rod u need to be able to reach beyond the bow of the yak so when the fish swim under the yak the line can be passed in front of the bow Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A few of us used to travel up to Tywyn about 6 years ago to Tope fish off the Yaks.Then we used to have an annual meet every year after.But I gave that up and started with Guns.Another good one is Conger fishing just out of Portland Harbor,Underneath the prison at night on the kayak..Plus in October you get the Giant squid too.
