Bleeh
Hey Guys, I'm a bit confused with what's going on with my peas.First they are drilled in about a month ago, but nothing really shows.Over the last week I see small specks of green starting to emerge (which seems like a long time)And I go out today and they are drilling the same field, again? Did the first crop fail or something? - They certainly drilled it once so I'm a bit confused to what is going on.Anyone clear this up for me? Andrew. the pigeon man
Pigeon ate the peas over night you missed them .... Sounds like its failed for some reason and redrilling still sounds strange though never none any 1 to drill a field twice ha

Bleeh
Everyone round here's drilling again Why? Because of the weather, or?
The Ghost
Peas are drilled very deep, this could explain the time taken. Are you sure they are re-drilling peas, may be other crop going in if it has failed. We gained a huge Pea field last week (new permission) and it is looking well established, the rain and warmer weather have both helped. No birds showing on it yet, it is on my dog walk route so pass it twice a day....even have the wife keeping her eye on it when I am at work. The Essex Hunter
All the peas are off and running my way, just not many pigeons feeding... I was told that the ground needs to be warm to give them a good start...and it has not realy been that for sure. TEH

I think it has been pretty decent pea growing weather so far. My old pea farmer used to start drilling at the end of February.
