Animal Mother
I don't know how out of the ordinary this is, but I'm keen to find somewhere which will allow me to shoot but non-hunting shooting only. I'd like somewhere which will allow me to do my own (with my other half) pattern plate and clay shooting. Advice, help and any pointers would be a great help. The location would preferably be North Wales, Cheshire or Shropshire.

al4x
the problem is its not in a landowners interest, you are just there making a noise and not for any benefit. Pest control is one thing getting ground to play on is a lot harder

Thunderbird
You are more likely to be able to (in time, if at all) do what you want if you offer a bit of vermin control first. If for whatever reason that doesn't interest you then I would get as friendly as you can with your local clay club. Unless you offer to pay? Dirty Harry
I completely understand that. It's not to their detriment though. It is if your going to leave broken clays all over his land, make a load of noise and upset livestock.

Thunderbird
What sort of club? How could this provide a sloution? I think he means a clay shooting club because the chances of you getting a farm permission (from someone you don't already know) to just go and shoot clays and a pattern plate, in private, leaving wads and bit of broken clay all over the place, are about zero in most people's opinion. That's why I suggested earlier join a clay club locally to you, make a few friends and you never know what might come of it.
