mrmints
I've got two permissions (sort of three) and one of them would be great for bunny bashing with a .22 and I've been thinking about getting my FAC for a while now. However, I'm always loath to disturb hardworking farmers, especially when it comes to asking for favours! I'm reasonably certain that I've seen people shooting the land with fire arms, so,the land might have been cleared already, but do farmers generally want a heads up before you apply using their land? al4x
yes they have to either sign a permission slip or take a call from the FEO to establish you have land and good reason
Kes
Apart from the law (above) its a matter of courtesy to say you are shooting section 1 firearms on their land - Make sure you tell him what calibre you wish to use so he is aware when the FLO asks and mention the ammuntion you are going to ask for so he's fully on side. Ask also if anyone else shoots firearms and suggest you will ring him so 2 lots of shooters aren't endangering each other b y shooting at the same time, unbeknownst to each other . . Tod
the police will ring him anyway to confirm he is happy with you shooting section 1 firearms on his land.
