Baldrick
How familiar are you with the .410 vs 12-bore-with-subsonics debate, regarding Hushpowers? I was talked out of buying the .410, with no regrets. The .410 has nothing like the suppressing capability of the fully-moderated 12-bore Hushpower. For £100 more, buy the 12, and a few slabs of subsonic cartridges. The greatly increased punch, and the reduced muzzle report of the 12, will be advantageous. Finnclassic
Yep, Ive a mossy 500 12 and its brilliant, totally reliable etc. I fancied the 410 BUT you have to remember that 410 shells arent always perfectly parallel - they can be a bit lumpy where the shot is and this leads to bad chambering, and if you get such a case into the chamber the extractors may not pull it out. I love 410's, but I have had these chambering probs with my single hushpower and my o/u. I have to go through the shells before I go out to make sure theyre all free in the chamber. I put the lumpies to one side for messing about with. If you did this first then I dont think you would have any probs with the 500.
