Barls2-9-12
What's wrong with steel? To be honest i don't find steel that bad, i think it gets a rather bad press and it instils doubt into the user before you have even used it. Ok there are better options out there but at a much higher price. If like me you do a lot of wildfowling there is no way your can afford to be using other non toxic substitute at a pound or more per shot. Unless your loaded.. If shooting at the correct distances steel performs to a reasonable standard i have used so many different types of steel in the past some better than others. The main thing is to put the shot in the correct place and more often than not you will be successful no matter what the shot is.
subsonicnat
Own one, and yes I used it for all steel shot, better with 1/4 x 1/2 choke: but don`t stretch your barrels, it will only cause wounding.. seems best when decoying , long shots will just get you a bad name, or go to the 3.5" and then you can start taking them further out with some very good results. As Steel is tighter on pattern due to the solid plastic Wad, it may give you another 5 yards at best:

I was just wondering why someone would have a problem with steel shot and why they would be sick of it. I am very confident using steel and have killed some long range birds with it. Maybe some people have an issue with their chokes giving poor patterns or something else. I've shot with some very good shots who consistently kill high geese with factory steel loads. Steel is fine, it just needs to be placed correctly.

shakin stevens
The aya sxs is a 3inch magnum i have, when the lead ban came in i had the choke changed to half and half, it was full and full with a 3inch chamber, it took the hevi shot very well but the gun is magnum proofed, i would say your gun would be ok for the hevi shot game cartridges for ducks, not sure about what other hevi shot shells are around now possibly 3inch ones 34g they did 36g but stopped selling them as i remember, don't know how much they are to buy but last time i looked they had gone through the roof.
