Maddy
Well, just got new permission for crow shooting at a nearby farm and was told, "you are more than welcome any time you want and as often you like, just as long as you shoot plenty". Music to my ears. I've not seen so many corvids around one farm in as long as I can remember. I just love shooting them too!! So, rang him last night to arrange to go today and was told, "this is just about the only day of the year when it's not a good day, we are silageing tomorrow and there will be too many tractors about" Was so looking forward to going, still only a couple of days to wait and after all I have got somewhere new to go. gazbev
Good luck, crows are bloody hard to shoot I think, you let one shot off and they all ****** off. I've been told a bird of prey decoy put up high brings them in coupled with a crow caller brings them in but it's illegal to shoot them when using it
eccles
Good 1 bud. You want to go and see where the crows are as soon as they cut etc,if they are on 1 field or another get down there next morning and target that field. Crows are not that hard to decoy, just set up a hide pop out some decoys and keep your head down. GOOD LUCK atvb Terry

Martin g
If he has cattle in the sheds, find out what time he feeds them. Place I shoot, they mob the food 10mins after hes been an fed them..
Maddy
Thanks for that Martin. He does have cattle in the sheds. He's been putting boards up at the troughs to try and keep them out. Expect the first visit to be hectic and after that to slow down a bit.
