Danoi99
I have a HW45 pistol which I have had for years. It shoots really well ( Power and accuracy ). I just fancy popping some kind of sighting system on the beast for a bit of fun. I have tried laser sights before but they just won't hold zero for many shots. Does anyone know of a good Red-Dot or Reflex type sight that would work well.............and not cost the earth?. I only indulge in what I call "precision plinking" ( if I shoot empty Coke cans I want to put the pellet right in the middle of the letter O). Any advice welcome !! Thanks
bruno22rf
I'm guessing that putting any type of sighting system on the 45 is going to be tricky because will it not go where you need to put your hand to cock the beast?
Underdog
No not really, only closing the action will the hand need to negotiate the sight. U.
HDAV
How about the Grip lasers?
Danoi99
I once had a laser thingy that was fixed to the trigger guard....it just would not stay fixed well enough. Shame cuz the actual beam was pin sharp and the little pressure switch was really good, mounting system was CRUD !! As for a sight getting in the way. don't think it will interfere with loading at all........obviously I will go careful with it though. Have not seen Grip Lasers........who sells them ? Theskyfox
Wait, don't rush and buy a sight!! Great timing because I was doing this exact same thing at the weekend. Took the HW45 down the range (was plinking and struggling with the iron sights at 11 yards lol) and wanted to put a red dot sight I had spare onto it. Heres the issue: Weihrauch have decided to cut a 13mm rail onto the top of it instead of the standard 11mm. This means that most normal scopes and scope rails do not fit. I'm currently trying to source an adaptor to fit it. In short: Make sure that you get a scope with the right rail size! -Andrew
