kiffy
evening folks, i know a lot of us have ultrafire 501b torches or at the very least cheap yellow asian knock off's but what gun mounts do you guys use? i have one at the moment which uses a velcro strap to attach the torch to the gun, its ok but ideally id like something better and more substantial... ive seen some nice looking metal mounts but then theres the time to take them on and off.. ideally id like a good metal one with some sort of quick release, even if it leaves part of the mount on the gun.. any idea if there is such a thing? bicykillgaz
I ordered a picatinny scope mount from china off evil bay like this http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?sbk=1&nav=SEARCH&itemId=130914888470 and use the 25mm mount off one of these http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?sbk=1&nav=SEARCH&itemId=190710840579 on the flashlight and throw away the rest of it. I use the same type of mount on all my scopes as as you can get them in 30mm too. I bought a few of the scope attachments so I can leave one on all my 501b's to make them quickly interchangeable. bicykillgaz
Kiffy they work great and cheap as you say, I've tried a few sorts but this is the best combo I've found. I've got a red and a green one both with pressure switches, it takes seconds to exchange even in the dark, there a good height too even for higher 56mm scopes.
