krugerandsmith
Lawrie Bond was the Bond of Bond Cars, which were basic aluminium 3 wheelers fitted with 125cc, 200cc and 250cc Villiers engines. The attraction was that you could drive them on a motorcycle licence and carry wife and even 2 small children whilst shielded from the weather, albeit very, very slowly. That attraction was eroded by the popularity of the relatively cheap Mini and Anglia Bond Cars were taken over by Reliant 1n 1969, and the Bug, which contained Reliant Regal mechanicals, was a purely Reliant exercise, designed by Ogle. True, but with the Siba Dynastart fitted to some of the Bonds and the T60 Berkeleys you could run the engine in the opposite rotation and get 3 or 4 reverse gears! Certain of the Bonds also had the ability to physically rotate the engine through 90 degrees, so giving them the possibility to turn around in their own length
