-Mongrel-
I've come to the conclusion that I'm far more comfortable shooting in a stood position, I can shoot sat down but find it too limiting, even with a swivel seat. However, after a while standing I start to feel the need to take the weight off! So, is there an alternative that will allow me to lean back and lightly rest my weight in a similar way to a shooting stick/seat, half stood half sat or, does anyone use said stick/seat for pigeon shooting and find it useable ...or not? Cranfield
I mainly use two seats, one is the pigeon shooters folding seat from UKSW. This has a very large seat area (suitable for us big blokes) and extends to a height so that I am almost leaning against it. Being a shooting stick style, it can be used in any situation. The second is the Bergara folding shooting seat sold by PW. The extending legs make this a nice high seat to shoot from and it is extremely comfortable. Not as flexible regarding location as the shooting stick style, but all four legs self adjust, so it will fit in almost anywhere.
pegasus bridge
I use a 'walk stool' forget the model, but was around the £90 mark, fold down to go in a gamebag, lightweight and strong. Edit, its a comfort xl 65cm, here they are http://www.walkstool.com/# Only downside is legs are bright legs, but they are easily concealed.
