12boreblue
I went to a local shoot recently and shot 91, and was as chuffed as can be, only to find that whilst I was walking back to the clubhouse 2 clays glued themselves back together and my score was now 89. Now that is an amazing feat don't you think? :-)
Gunnerbob
Wish I could score 9 let alone 89 ...................
TrapFiller
Did that myself today, shot the Promatic Challange at Kegworth and hit an 89.
Will Poon
Great shooting bud, I guess it was a sporting layout? I had my first world all round championship at Fauxdegla today and got a 81 I'm chuffed to bits
B25Modelman
A very good score indeed 89 or 91. I have only one recollection of such a high score. Back in time I lived in Scotland and regularly attended 100 bird selection shoots. I recall one at Armadale which I attended along with a friend (a Scotland Sporting Team shooter). He shot an 89 and I a 90......I was over the moon as 70/80 was my norm and I had the HG trophy in my minds hands for a few hours until a very late entry (17 year old lad) shot a 91.....:-(

JDog
Surely your score should have been 90? They appear to have knocked off both clays when in fact you hit one.
12boreblue
It was because when they checked the card, it looked like two birds were recorded with a miss, then overwritten with a hit, but hey I'll take 89 any day of the week. It does make all that expense worthwhile when you have a good day whether clay, pigeon or game though :-)
smallbore
One of the things I do at the end of a round refereeing is to call out the provisional totals, offer the cards to the shooters and then indicate that they will be checked again. I would suggest checking your score on the card each time and get any clarifications made at that time. The difference between 89 and 91 could be as much as £50!
