i was going to buy a new escort but didnt want toi wait the couple of months for them to come in so after a nose around i found a 2 year old benelli for sale online, phoned him and made a cheeky offer and as hes giving up shooting and taking up fishing he accepted.. £800 delivered to my rfd.. ok a lot more than a new escort but a bit of a bargain

I had a Benelli m2 for some years, put a lot of rounds through it. In the end it became less than reliable though.

These days I shoot a Remington 11-87, purely via my love of the Remington 870, and it's a great gun, the Sportsman plastic stocked gun is light, with low recoil, its cheaper to buy than a Benelli, at least , if not more reliable, and if something does go wrong parts are freely available and cheap, unlike the Benelli. Definitely worth consideration.

Thanks for that, because I'm also left handed. Friend of mine shoots a stoeger 2000 which which works on the same system.

I had one for all of 2 weeks. I love sa and am going to get another, just not a stoeger. The build quality is just non existent. Cocking handle decided to depart the gun and after I managed to find it again it would not lock back into position and just loosely went into the block. Also when breaking clays it used to get so hot it would burn my hands and when it was hot it would jam constantly. Remi sa or a pump is on my wish list now.
