I noticed a similar problem over a year ago. I put it down to right shape wrong colour. If you compare colour and patterns on the wing set with that of a dead bird the wing set are nothing like the real thing. I bought some acrylic artist paints and mixed my own colours to try and match real thing plus some fullers earth ( to reduce any shine). Seems to work. Two weeks ago 146, last week 65 between two of us. HTH.

I found a similar thing with the Jack Pyke wings and tail that I fitted on the rubber decoy I use on my floater - When the sun shine caught it there would be small sparkly flecks flashing away on it and the wings and tail just didn't look anywhere near a natural colour! I remedied this by getting my acrylic paints out and giving the decoy a quick "going over".

It may look a bit rough but it is much more realistically coloured in natural day light and there are no longer any sparkly flecks on it. Out in the field it seems to work well enough without any birds jinking off before I can get an in range shot at them, so that's plenty good enough for me!!
