Daveo26
Anyone know anything about these cheap water proof bike trackers? They alert you by text or you can link it google maps. Im thinking it would be good to get one on my motor but there are loads of the available from china. Anyone used one? Also thought about the old mobile phone taped to the dash. Mightymariner
Just fitted a tracker to my Defender, cost £38 from Amazon, works really well, fitted a pay as you go sim and off you go. All done via txt, sends you a message with location etc. Can cut power and sound sirens etc if stolen.

Mightymariner
Depends how DIY you are! I got a mechanic to do it who knows Landrovers but that's because I am not very technical. I think it is fairly easy, the instructions are good, all colour coded wires etc and if you do a basic fitting I would say simple. I got everything bar the door connectors hooked up and it all works really well so far. I think it is critical where you put it, must be well hidden but also easy to access if you need it. (I can pm you if you like).
HDAV
If you need it for insurance then you'll need it fitted by a certified firm but for your own peace of mind seems a bargain!

southeastpete
Just looked at the tracker link. Im interested in this now. What is the microphone for with it? Do insurance companies recognize these trackers or do they demand specific makes? all the best, pete
