-Mongrel-
Foolishly I decided it would be a good idea to update my maps on the sat nav. It does a back up and downloads the maps, starts to install to the internal memory but keeps failing. Anyone managed to overcome this? If so how? Trouble is that it now appears to have NO maps on it at all! Edited August 30, 2013 by -Mongrel-

Hamster
I had the same problem a while back, called their customer service and some really helpful chap talked me through the mess. Apparently it was because I had not done regular updates but I would never have been able to frisk through that lot unaided.

-Mongrel-
Its the Xl guys, I suspect file size may be the issue and I've now resorted to deleting all maps on the PC and unit and trying a reinstall..... ...its probably two years since the last time I connected it! phaedra1106
I have a built in SatNav in my Honda CRV but use my old Tom Tom One when we go to Florida, even with the latest updates it's often wrong!. Sitting playing about with it one night I changed it from a Tom Tom Sat Nav to a Tabby Tom Cat Nav by changing the boot screen and adding one of our cats to it ............ ack-ack
Try updating your sat nav with a map of the gobi desert or perhaps the mid atlantic. Far less features so much easier to upload. I sincerely help this hopes.
