deny essex
A little too calming for my taste does not match the excitement of the video, not easy to match music with video, sometimes a mix of different music styles/sounds works depending on the scene content, something a little more up beat maybe! I've spent hours on video editing and mixing in the distant past, it can drive you nuts , especially the dreaded wedding vids being one of the worst. I'm naff on the camera so that was a partners job If you have editing facilities put some clips of good shoots/humourous/rubbish shoots etc to round the video off. PS. Wife just came in and said "could you hear that music?" , Yep me says its on a video, "ohh thought it was from the funeral directors near us." she said that not me im innocent Edited September 3, 2013 by deny essex
Frenchieboy
For me the ballance of the sound track is perfect but maybe a slightly more "lively" sound track would have enhanced the video even more. Having said that I did enjoy the video and sound track!

deny essex
There are some license free sound effects and sometime music clips that can be down loaded that I have used for amateur theatre tracks that can add the odd effect , but I have not had to put any music on for public showing recently, when I did do any for public it was performing license paid for. I have not searched but im guessing there may be some amateur music around that may be downloadable. Some audio sound editing programs can help when making a sound track even some free ones can do a basic job and if you are into the fancy of going that way can be quite fun and add well to a video sound track. Scully
I'm probably in the minority here, but I prefer no music. If there's one thing which puts me off some otherwise excellent American hunting/shooting vid's it's the background music...usually heavy rock.A real pain in the ****.I don't need loud rock music (or any other type of music) playing in the background when I'm out stalking or in a hide so feel no need to listen to it on vid's. At the beginning as a presentation, and again at the end is fine, but during? Not for me.
ThePestControllers
thanks Scully for your very important and honest opinion i really appreciate it. i must admit i usually find music off putting because of the music choice and loudness. i am trying to get a balance between country/folk/irish and celtic type music which i thought rightly or wrongly was more appropriate to the countryside type of sport. Deny i have a source of free music but its limiting so i thought of contacting the original owners and asking then for permission to use their music as background music in my videos i hope there no veggies
