washerboy
Speaking to a friend yesterday about joining the local wildfowling club next season(missed this yrs ) The permit lets you shoot several stretches of a tidal river. I only own a spanish sxs 12 bore , 70mm cartridges. Could you advice me what cartridges are suitable ...if any?
Big Mat
You can get a 70mm bismuth cartridge. I think its something like 36grams of 3 or BB. There are some steel cartridges that are not hp steel which will be suitable as well.
washerboy
Thanks, just googled those..£35 for 25 ... maybe a box will last all season
Big Mat
I paid £22 for 25 of the 32gram 4s bismuth last season. If you want to go after the geese, you'll have to buy another gun or get some of the more expensive non toxics!

Cosd
Bismuth it is then... Thank you If you're shooting ducks call Just Cartridges and they have some standard steel you can put through your gun for less than £10/25. Geese is a different story I'm afraid as I found out when I called with a similar problem.
