kent
My daughter and her partner had a horrendous experience when driving on a motorway heading north to the Borders. For the second time in 1000 miles on this 4 year old car with only 14,000 on the clock the engine lost power leaving them virtually idling in the middle lane. This had occured on a previous occasion when the problem was faulty injector cylinders, see above replaced within the last 1000 miles. However 8 hours and five relay changes found them in the Borders at 10pm last night. This morning VW UK seem only interested in passing the buck and accepting zero responsibility, so much for the so called VW reliability and customer service. Reading some VW forums there appears to be an issue with VW injectors, any forum members have experience of this. Blackpowder Is it not issues from short running and the particulate filter? Notoriously bad especially in the smaller engine

pimpkiller
they have good build quality which is different from reliability. They are made from nice materials
Blackpowder
Well persistance paid off and having got through the first fire wall of "customer services" and been put in touch with someone higher up the ladder VW UK have picked up the bill for replacing the third injector on the Golf. Three down and one to go, still not offering to pay in retrospect for the two already replaced. Blackpowder
Lord Geordie
VW are one of the most unreliable vehicles available. They have the worst customer after care of any make. I don't understand why people have these illusions of vw being reliable. +1 I have had a few too. The VW Derby "burned out the valves" before 60.000. Then the Polo only to have head gasket failure twice and steering fault. Lastly the Lupo. Gearbox bearings failed at 37.000. Won't have another
