al4x
Bonkers move make sure you have plenty set aside for repairs as the early ones have some nightmare problems
Tailormadefun
what problems did they have?
Mk1 Man
According to A mate who's just bought an 07 plate TDV6 the early ones had problems with the oil pump casings which can fail, Causing catastrophic engine damage to the tune of £9k. They were later redesigned on the late 3's & 4's. My mate, being uncertain as to whether his oil pump casing was a replacement one or still the early one has had it changed along with his timing & injection belts for his own peace o mind.....the part costs around £60 from Landrover. houlsby
As per what I usually say. Land rovers are like the wife, nice and fun to get stuck into, but when they want a new kitchen or the boiler breaks your facked I own both, l200 is an awful drive, but I ain't fussed about scratching it. My rangy is currently dead say on the mother in laws drive until i have a spare grand to fix it again. (I do have a secret love for it tho :-) )
