i take it ....that it is a disco ?.......if so it might be the self levvelling sensor arms, they are made out of plastic and have micro switches in them...mine went when i had an 02 plate disco....bags went down....i think they are about £12.00 each to replace...check that first........

if i remember right......the air suspension is only a load levelling device, to be used when you have put a heavy load in the wagon and it needs to go back to the right ride height.....so you press the button and it goes ding ding ding...and it levels out

if your compressor has gone it will be making a nasty noise and will cost £ 500.00 plus to replace......i think the problem rests with either the load sensors or the wagon needs to go on the old computor and be reset...........apart from that i cant help you anymore...have you checked the load sensors, all you need is a torch, just check the wies are still attatched and the plugs havnt come out.......let us know how you get on......

I would go for load sensors mate, the suspension should level itself back down when you get to 20 mph, if its gone further the sensors are bust or just take of the plastic box on the compresser, its situated on the passenger side under the sill, there are 3 tubes 1 for in and 2 for out check to see if there tight, if the compressers knacked get a spring set for £80 of flea bay and replace the air bag suspension allot cheaper and you wont get the problem again, but firstly check the sensors right hand side of the back wheels plastic arms good luck go onto landy zone furom uk they will have a workshop manuel and advise if you get stuck

It probably the compressor, easy enough to replace, only about 2 bolts and a couple of hoses to change, buy one off Ebay they go for anything between £30 and £400, last one I bought on eBay was £50 and worked a treat.

I'd lay money on being compressor

If you decide to change the bags for springs, don't forget to notify your insurance as its classes as a modification!!!!

I had this problem about 6m ago.

As a temporary measure you can jack up the offending wheel, set the arm to a middle ish height the tape up the hanging bit (I'm assuming it's the bottom bracket that's snapped) and it'll stay roughly level.

That price from paddocks sounds about right.

When changing, don't forget to disconnect the battery before disconnecting the Connector on the sensor, and be aware that it's brittle as hell.

If you need any help give me a shout. I'll scan/ photograph the Haynes pages.

Not a complicated job, although mine needs to go on a nanocom for re calibration, sits slightly wonky

suspension is self levelling and will reset to normal ride height at normal road speed (cant remember what it is though). If your compressor has gone, island 4x4 do them about £270 each IIRC

Replace the damn things with manual type, turn off the engine light, no more **** from them, job done: My mates done his, the bloke turned it off in the menu for nothing as he bought the parts from him..

Sorry to double reply But... It Is a Conversion Kit for them: I believe about £110:00 .

Never have any more trouble with it..

Will think about this if I get a problem with the air bags I won't speak to soon lol thanks

Dave

To all you lads with these vehicles, get this done you will not regret it, imagine the pipes, compressors and all the trouble if you don`t..

Citroen cars are just as bad for this, costs a fortune to replace pipes etc.

I think they advertise on flea*** . anyway LOOK it Up..

but you do have to have it TURNED OFF in the Menu on the car, otherwise you an engine looking at you..:lol:
