Cosd
Does anyone have any experience with Resin Bonded Gravel driveways? Was looking at doing a gravel driveway and came across this which I like the look of. Cos
bucksshooter
They look good to start with but i have seen some get affected by frozen conditions and begin to break up.

plank06
There's resin bonded and resin bound driveways, the resin bound being much better! Very expensive though, iv heard of prices around £45 per m2. The colours and look are fantastic though. Providing the base is good and firm, there shouldn't be problems with cracking, which will allow the weather to penetrate, as it only goes on very thinly! AVB
I have a resin bonded gravel drive (or is it resin bound I don't know) . A lot better than the tar bonded that I have had before. It's about 5 years old now (I think). No wear at all where the car turns. I have noticed a couple of cracks in odd places. Not sure if caused by tree roots. Catamong
Hi Cos, The sub-base has to be absolutely spot on, otherwise the resin bonded paving will crack and look like the surface of the moon shortly after the guarantee from the Company that laid it has expired..... Tread carefully my friend, ask for references from Clients going back a long way.... Cat.
