filzee
Hi Lads and Ladies, My Grandma recently passed away and she left behind loads of First day covers. We have no need for them and my mum has asked me to try and sell them on if they are worth anything. Do any of you collect them or know anything about them? I must admit it is something I have no interest in. I have everything from The BFG, to the Royal Wedding. Any advice on where to get rid of them or what they are worth would be more than appreciated. Many thanks Phil

bruno22rf
Father in law died a couple of weeks ago and he collected just about every first day cover over the last 20 years-cost a fair bit when you add it all up-had them valued a couple of days ago and was told that the vast majority of them are not worth the paper that they are printed on-the newer ones are worth about half their face value
Scottoj18
I think I'm right in saying that you can use the stamps that have not been used before and in sterling. Just got to keep on sticking to make up the postage cost lol
