Pole Star
I put this on for the Eley cartridges collectors to have a peek at . I got them from a mate in Wexford on condition that I use them but the thing is most of them are still in unopened boxes , I just cant bring myself to break the seal . I got some 300 & most of them still sealed in the boxes , I have shot a lot of the loose ones & they shoot fine even though they must have been loaded in the 60s or thereabouts , my mate got them from a retired Doctor in Cork , just never what you will come across in Ireland . Pole Star
Not good enough for geese pole star . Send them to me in Norfolk and I will use them on pigeons . Harnser. Tell you what I have shot a goose stone dead with one , not a high bird though I might add & an old time Gentleman farmer & wildfowler in Ireland now sadly missed by those of us who knew him & shot pheasants & woodcock in Wicklow with him once said to me " A goose is not a hard bird to kill & I have killed plenty off them with a number 7 in my time shooting on the Slobs " . hanky
The John Collins was one of my latest finds only a few weeks ago and has a pic of a knife and fork on the cart, was over the moon when I got that one from a real good friend in Ireland, always on the look out for gunmakers and ironmongers carts, I wish he could see them as well as I get as much enjoyment in collecting them as showing them to people who also show interest in them.
