Duty called again last night,

I thought i would change tactics with regards to using the archer as a spotter and use a Bresser NV mono i got from "Lidl's" i took the Firefly off the archer and screwed it on the Bresser, fits just nice into the bi-pod attatchment :good: and keep the Archer fixed on the rifle scope, when i needed to take a shot i just switched on the NV and the NM800 lamp, simple

I had cleared quite a few Fox's on this patch earlier this year but the odd 1 or 2 still managed to elude me. I did my normal trick of putting an electric caller out into the field about 100 yrds away. I tried a hare distress call for around 20-30 mins but no sign, i then changed to a rodent squeal , Ah !!! whats this??? a pair of eys showed after just 10 minutes over a slight drop in the field, it wasnt hanging around either. Off with the spotter and on with the Archer and NM800, i lost it momenterily in some long grass in the head-land,but it came out only 70 odd yrds in front of me going straight to the caller, it stopped just yards into the stubble and froze in its tracks to check for the location.
