alexf
Recently been looking at getting Disco, as I'm too big for a Defender! However after a couple of let downs and rotted discos. Had a look at the Frontera what are people getting mpg wise out of the 2.2 petrol engines and the diesel one. Also what are people getting out of the diesel disco? Not too sure the amount of use I'll being using the frontera would justify me spending the extra on a diesel. Also anything too look out for on the fronteras? Thanks in advance
the pigeon man
To be fair I have a td5 I think it's good aslong as your not flat to knockers all time get 30 ish miles to gallon
karpman
The frontera diesels are suppose to be capable of a bout 32, would Imagine the petrols would do well to get low to mid twenties Karpman

NIGHT SEARCHER
97 2.8 TD SHOGUN LWB MANUAL. SHORT RUNS+OFF ROAD==22 23 MPG. LONGER RUNS A ROADS== 28 29 MPG. MOTORWAYS 60 MPH==== 32 33 MPG. THERE ARE VERY FEW 4X4s THAT WILL GIVE YOU GOOD MPG. ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE HAD WAS AN OLD DISCO 300 SERIES. IT DID 33 34 MPG OFF ROAD AND CLOSE TO 40 MPG ON MOTORWAYS AT 60 MPH. IT WAS A ONE OFF I HAVE HAD A FEW DISCOS SINCE AND THEY HAVEN`T COME CLOSE TO THAT SORT OF MPG. Same post was done a few weeks ago page 2 Motoring MPG ON YOUR SHOOTING BUS.

bakerboy
Cheers nightsearcher I have a Great Wall Steed SE. 2 litre manual 38/40 mpg. The trucks are cheap to buy as well and do everything I want it to. They are the Hatsan of the driving world, albeit like most Hatsan decriers, most will not have driven or even ridden in a Steed.
