30-6
Well whether mine is slightly out of line, although it seems to fit ok, (and remember i tried to clean it initially from a factory setting, i.e. i had never had it out of the gun), on the 452 .22 lr it fouls the cleaning rod. When i cleaned the 452 .17 hmr, because of this problem i took it out prior to the first clean. Is it correct what i was told that although it is labelled a "bolt guide" the sticky up bit aids extraction ?
30-6
Taken from DEWEY website - Please note: .22 Rimfire and CZ Shooters - We recommend using .20 caliber cleaning rods, as the .22 caliber rods have been found to be too tight to fit those close diameters. When ordering a .20 caliber rod for use with .22 caliber jags, mops, brushes, etc, you will need to order the 17A adapter. Also note: please use pistol sized brushes with small diameter rods - it puts less stress on the cleaning rod.

Well the Grey coated parker hales work fine as should any rod that fits down the bore and I do use a bore guide own a 452 in .22 lr and have for years a 527 in .22 Hornet and previously owned a 452 in .17 hmr none have created any issue on cleaning except the 527 which has some issues with the ejector claw and type of bore guide needed for the rimmed hornet case. I found the 455 a pain for rods catching but all it takes is to hold the trigger in the pressed position and all is fine. Suggest you get someone to show you.
