Paul taylor
Absolutely buzzing after tonight ive only been shooting a shotgun about a month now and admit to finding it hard to hit owt, still hit or miss after a gun fit and some instruction but getting better. Had 12 shots for none first time out but dropped the second mallard i saw tonight with one shot as it came in over me to land couldnt belive it but it was dead b4 it hit the floor. The other two where much higher and quartering away from me dropped 1 with second shot and the other was missed with first clipped with second and the joy of a semi killed with third shot so three mallard b4 a storm blew in and ended the night 8 or 9 shots for 3 kills will do me. Roast duck for sunday dinner it is then but do i need to do owt to it to prep for cooking? Would love to post a pic but am a computer retard . aga man
well done paul, brilliant result that mate as far as preparing the ducks some people like to singe the fluff/down off the bird after plucking with a blowtorch. personally i would cook them slowly as with all game they can toughen up if roasted too quickly.
