rimmie
*Atec Hi all, I'm after a end of barrel mod for my .223. After much research I've narrowed it down to these two. The jet z is about £50-£70 more depending on where you get it, so that does make a bit of a difference. Do any of you boys use either of these ? I would like as much real time feed back as poss please. Let me know your thoughts. Edited October 30, 2013 by rimmie
Archie-fox
I use a ATEC on my 223 tikka... Fantastic bit of kit, no issues at all.

Deiseboy
Id go with the atec maxum.. The cmm4 is designed for the person who might fire a few shots a year at deer. If you will be using it a lot of the .223 the baffles can ware because they're aluminium. Atec even have this posted on their own site warning people. cleaner4hire
How much shooting are you going to do? As said above heavy use will wear out a CMM4, That said I personally think its a good tradeoff over the weight you lose with the much lighter mod. rimmie
It's going on my varmint rifle, so I'm going to be shooting rabbits, crows etc.., at range so I might fire a fair few rounds in a session. I have watched a few videos on you tube and the jet z does seem bloody quite !! But there expensive . Il have a look at the maxum

bk
I have both. The ASE is bomb proof but heavy compared to the ATEC. I use the atec more but I reckon the ASE will last ages!
