Sunday morning Hay-balers St Albans (AL4)?

Every Sunday morning I take my daughter to Hockey. I drive up the A1, so I go past the A1SG and one put on by, I think, Barnet SC. To go to AL4 then return to anyone of these, shoot and return to Hockey just isn't really practical. According to google maps that would be just over 50 miles of driving.

Anyone suggest anything local to AL4?

Thanks.

Codicote Bottom do one every other Sunday, I think. Not sure if you'd call it haybaler or organised. Basic is what it is. Will come up on a google.

AGL is far from haybaler but you get what you pay for. Again, Google will give you the finer details.

There's an organised shoot up near Dunstable off the A5 past Markyate. Not sure of frequency or day but think Sunday. Maybe someone can fill in the blanks.

Get your wife to take your daughter to hockey!

(Un)fortunately the 'wife' is now, very much, an "ex". She's also, according to google, 1329 miles away. It's still not far enough.

Get your girl out of hockey and into shooting :)

Daughter's well into her shooting. She also dresses what we get (from rough shooting together) and as 'payment' to Dad for taking her she cleans the guns. I know I'm onto a very good thing. She also loves her hockey, the facilities are excellent and there's a chance her old man may, one day, meet one of these 'mythical' 'Hockey Mums'. Or any one of the over 35 ladies team.

1st sunday of each month there is a haybaler at

White Ln, St Ippolyts, Hitchin, Hertfordshire SG4, UK (stick it into google maps). Starts at 10am, 70 clays (7 stands) for 15 pounds. Bargain.

Google maps says it is about 10mi from AL4.

It's a bit of a schlep - it doesn't appear to be much further than Markyate. I may give it a look - I can't seem to find any more details - any chance of the linky-winky? Or some further contact numbers. Thanks.

Cheers mate, looks interesting I'll contact them to see what the chances of joining/attending are.

No links believe it or not. Lots of PW members attend though.
