victorismyhero
an update sadly we had to return Zac to the kennels we got him from as on having a health check it was found he had a grade 3 heart murmur. We were offered a replacement in the form of LEO Both dogs were 2 1/2 year old rehomed pets so in March this year i began gundog training with Leo at cheshire gundogs. thanks to hard work by Chris, Leo came on in leaps and bounds, Now he most certainly isnt going to achieve "gundog of the year" or whatever, but he is shaping up to be a great shooting companion. Today he made a great step forward, and made his first "warm" retrieve of a freshly shot rabbit....oh boy was he (and I) chuffed and he is learning a new "trick" he sits when he hears the bolt on the .410 go home, even if he is 10-15 yards away...... loriusgarrulus
Shame that every hedgerow on OH,s permission is full of goose grass. Leo must have collected most of it on his way round. His ears and most of his feathering were full of it. I prepared the rabbit for the freezer while OH set to for a major grooming session.
