English archer
Yesterday I acquired a MK3 S200, with T bar fill adapter. The fill adapter is VERY stiff, to get on and off.Is this normal for these fittings? Would a touch of silicon oil on the o rings help?
chrisjpainter
I think the same attachment is used for the S510? in which case i remember it was always a bit on the stiff side. Silicon oil might help, but it also might stop the adapter sealing properly when attached to the hose, causing it to leak when filling up. Having said that, It's not going to do any harm, so give it a go? If it works, great. If not? give it a good clean off and it will be back as it was - stiff but at least working! English archer
That's the adapter, I'll try the oil.
bruno22rf
I have the same gun/adaptor-lick your finger and wipe a little moisture around the inside of the adaptor-oil in this area could be risky.
timmytree
Use a very thin smear of silicone grease, perfectly safe and makes life easier. For filling with a pump I've cut the "T" bar section off as well, it's much easier to line up the adapter/ fill valve that way.
