Moors Man
Is anyone having any success on rape stubble at present. I went out about a couple of weeks ago and in 3 hours saw about 5 pigeons none of which came anywhere near being in range.
fenboy
I would think most of us would be hard pressed to find rape stubble at this time of year .
JDog
Moors Man may be mistaken in his identity of rape stubble I feel. 95% of rape stubble will have been drilled with wheat by this time of year. In any event I cannot think of any attraction of rape stubble in November apart from volunteer rape leaves.
Moors Man
No its rape stubble the farmer has not touched this field since combining. All other fields are winter wheat but does not like people on his wheat fields so this is only field I have to shoot at present. But as JDog says not much to interest them. Hence 3 hours and not a shot being fired

filzee
There are small numbers feeding on the rape but there is no rape stubble left. There are no real acorn areas on my permissions so i guess they are all elsewhere for a while
