Best region for woodpigeon??

I'm planning a wood pigeon shooting holiday in the UK next March and im confused if I should go up north around Leicestershire, lancashire etc or travel to east coast around Suffolk. Could anyone help me please?

 

I'd appreciate any other suggestions you might have in relation to choosing the best region for wood pigeon shooting.

go the south midlands, and below they seem to be hammering them down there, not much up north

I'm not sure where you're from as it doesn't say in your signature and as it's your first post i have no idea of previous experience but when you say I'm planning a wood pigeon shooting holiday in the UK next March. Do you understand the General License and do you have a "permission" or are you looking for an invite.

 

Sorry if it sounds harsh or maybe sucking eggs. Give a little more info mate and someone i'm sure will help you out.

You'll need a professional pigeon guide so your decision would largely be affected by which man you can get and where/when, they'll likely put you amongst birds more effectively than you simply knowing which is the best theoretical part of the country.
