The wording of such a lease can vary considerably depending on how much control the landowner wishes to have over you.

 

They can vary from a simple agreement where they grant you permission to shoot named species on their land for an agreed fee through to agreements drawn up detailing everything in fine detail and covering such things as reinstatement of damage done by pheasants to banks and hedges through to tillage of cover plots and erection and sighting of release pens.

 

Such an agreement should be drawn up by the landowners solicitor.
