bostonmick
I am looking at buying a shotgun as a sleeper I am looking at a browning 525 ultimate I doubt it will fire more that 100 a year as I do not do very well with brownings, however I like the look of them owned one a few years ago and regret selling it but at the time could not justify keeping it.i know the 525 is not a pure browning as it is made in japan for them but what model of true browning Belgium made would you suggest for around 2.5k.prefer it to have at least 30 inch barrels. seeker
For that spec a B25 ... A or possibly certain B grades of have a look at a 125 B or C possibly - made in Japan but assembled and finished in Belgium. Working through the B25 models n specs seems an art on its own ... and there are even some guns that have evolved into higher grades in their own lifetime. Check for splits or cracks in the Browning 125 woodwork, I owned one for 25 years and had 3 replacement stocks, and eventually sold it with another crack in the stock - they are known for the problem! Gunman
B25's keep their value quite well but as with all else it will depend on the grade and its condition .Have look at a couple of selling sights for some idea of the range £2500 should put you in the B2 bracket but I have seen some mint B1s and American Lightening's at that price. Basically all the same gun but the its the finish and engraving that puts the price up .
