dukeboy
Hi all, I'm training my ess which is going well, he's 6 months now and i'm going to introduce him to gunfire, have used a cap gun in the back garden with no problems at all. I have an 8mm blank firer but not sure if this will be too loud or would i better better buying a .22 blank firer?
PWD
The relatively cheap 6mm Olympic revolver does the job...just use it on single action (Cock and fire) don't double action it too much and they last a fair whilst. Some dogs take to blanks other don't...but if you're using a cap gun you're halfway there. You can fire it within a game bag at first to dampen the sound . The semi autos are nice bits of kit but push the price up
dukeboy
Yea had saw those, think they were around 35, just wondered if the 8mm would do as i already have it. Good tip about firing inside the bag to muffle it
PERCE
You can get a emge for not much more & they're considerably better. The revolvers are truly ****.

Nikk
This is the one I have. Seems pretty good although I didn't buy it from this store. http://canineconcepts.co.uk/en/dummy-launchers--pistols/3830-gundog-training-starter-pistol.html
