KFC
Acquired a '96 Disco 300tdi ten days ago. Had a new battery put on it by Halfords. couple of days later the alarm kept going off every so often. Rang Halfords and the chap said I should put the key in the ignition and then hold down the unlock button on the fob for 3 seconds to pair the fob with the immobiliser. This seemed to work but this afternoon it's started going off every ten minutes or so. Tried repeating the process but it hasn't worked. Any suggestions please? Albert 888
Got a disco and the alarms ok but had major problems with my p38. Best bet is do a serch on google and sift through all the forums. Can you lock the car without pressing the fob by using the key for now. It was the car battery that was changed so I'll change the fob battery tomorrow. Do I put the key in the ignition or do I simply press the lock button four times? KFC
No problems, google is great for landrovers shame it cant weld them up for us. Happy motoring. Unfortunately I spoke too soon and it's kicked off again. The drivers door handle is poorly adjusted and it takes quite a sharp pull to get it open. The latest opinion is that it could be causing the alarm to not set properly. I've downloaded a manual now and it looks like a fair old job to get at the door mechanism so I'll leave it til Sunday and see if it can be adjusted or replaced. Ho hum, bloody cars
keg
Daft question but all LRs have a pet spider, is that or possibly a draught from the vents causing it to trip?
