Clydebuilt
thanrs ks guys do you know where i can buy all the kit i need Look no further than http://www.agouti-nets.co.uk/tutorials Used him for years but no commercial connection. Nothing better than making and using your own nets, make them as long, wide, narrow or as short as you like. Very satisfying skill to have. Progress onto longnets in time and you'll wish you had rolled your own earlier. Any trouble, pm me for instruction. Good luck

FatFreddysCat
The best thing about making your own nets is that you can make custom nets to suit your own location. eg. extra large nets for those big holes, a big purse net for setting in a ditch for escapees that run along a ditch, a 5 yard long net to set at a right angle to the hedge or across a gate. Whatever you need. A good little book for a beginner is Net Making For Sport by Howard G Glynn. Don't know if it's still in print.

clayboster
its a great feeling of satisfation knowing that your own handmade net has just bagged a rabbit, bit like tying your own fly and landing a trout ....lets face it, anybody can buy one.
