palo
Hello all I have a o2 plate Land rover TD5 which is firing on four cylinders this only happens after the engine warms up when I start it first thing in the morning no problem. Any ideas what might be causing this? Thanks.
bobt
probably oil in the injector harness, about £30 to fix.

Fib new
Change it before it gets in the ecu... Wiring loom cost £30, new ecu a lot more!
Drongo
As above... Change harness, clean plugs... Check it's not got as far as the ECU... Edited January 4, 2014 by Drongo
NIGHT SEARCHER
Ed China did the same job on Wheeler Dealers on a TD5. New Wiring Harness £30 Sorted. Very common problem.
spanj
make sure you clean the connecting plug to the ecu too. Its not impossible to clean the ecu itself if you need to
palo
The oil is down as far as the ECU the bolts holding the ECU together appear to be tamper proof so not sure about opening it. I have ordered the new harness and should have it tomorrow. What about the oil that is already in the loom from the head to the ECU will that continue to cause problems? Thanks. aga man
have a look at the link i posted fella i would imagine a good clean of each plug would suffice worse case a new ecu will be needed but not often.
