Ricko
If you have dogs then PIR detectors will be a problem, you will have to have contact switches on doors, windows etc.

parapilot
How big are the dogs? You can get a gsm dialler to call your phone on alarm activation, works with SIM card. Proper monitored alarm will Need to be pro installed by nacoss engineer and need confirmed activations etc gets expensive and complicated. Just do normal alarm with the gsm dialler. Not hard to fit with basic electrical knowledge or you can look into the Yale wireless systems but I personally don't have any experience with those. theosmith
they are little jack russels. had just been looking at the yale ones on ebay seem very easy to install. i think i could get away with very small qty of pir sensors or door conection things. as its such a small place
