TW1990
Looks good, do you think it will affect the pheasants flight line?
Duffryn
That sounds pervy Now that has put an idea in my head ! Looks good, do you think it will affect the pheasants flight line? I think there is a risk of this. I'm trying it on a day with close friends who want to see the footage so that it wont upset anyone
TW1990
I can't seeing it being to much of risk? Mind you there that stupid a times the daft things may fly into it
NickB65
More risk of a gun shooting it in the heath of the moment. Would be good to see some of the aerial shots looking down at the guns as they shoot. What is th enoise like from the device as that may affect the birds getting up? lee-kinsman
I think your real problem will be some knob putting lead through it. However It will be good to see some real action footage.
cloudwalker
However you end up using it, the completely different perspective is very interesting and quite spectacular. I think your main problem is going to be how to operate it effectively and take part in the shooting. You may need a Cameraman, Lighting Team, you can be Producer and Director, Make-Up lady for Rob, the list could go on and on. I can also imagine your wife saying (again), "how much did you say this costs ?" I have a great mental image of you shooting, operating the helicopter and controlling Bob at the same time. I am sure Bryn Parry could do a great caricature of you doing so!!!
adam f
Quite amazing how stable that is as a filming platform! On a big drive it would be awesome to fly it with the birds over the guns, you would want to be spectating and not shooting or too much going on I suspect. happy.plinker
A lot of folk are getting work for these helicopter type cameras, survey work, even tourist video's. A good hobby I'm sure and will be interesting seeing it on a shoot.
Duffryn
Unfortunately the weather on the shoot I intended to try it on was terrible and so pheasant cam is going to have to wait until the start of next season
