As you know i have been a resident on the UK for 6 months now and applied for my sgc!! As a referee i used my aunt because she's been living here since she was 18 she's now 54 and known her for more then 20 years, do you think that my application will be refused because shes my aunt and that I'm not an English citizen thanks also the police says the referee couldn't be your immediate family member so i think i have no trouble .

just found this on google

For a shotgun certificate one referee is required and should be someone who has known the applicant personally for at least two years. Members of the applicant's family may not act as referees: wife, husband, mother, father, son, daughter, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, grandparent and mother/father/sister/brother/son/daughter-in-law. Cousins are not regarded as immediate.
