DJL4
Plenty out there to choose from and lots of price variations depending on the type of cover you are looking for. The best advice I can offer is have a GOOD look around, read the small print and make sure you understand it. Many of the cheaper policies have certain clauses which if ignored can come back and bite you hard. For what its worth I have five dogs all insured with Pet Plan, not cheap but never had any problems with them when needed and they pay out very quickly. Hope this helps. silver pigeon 3
My 3 are with Pet plan as well, never had an issue with payment of claims. Mate had his with a supermarket pet insurance and 1st claim they wouldn't pay up due to a clause in the small print excluding certain illness/injury. Like above Pet plan isn't the cheapest but from my experience is worth the money.
wj939
John lewis with mine. Got very good levels of cover for 19 quid a month. I have noticed nearly all policies exclude cover if your dog is a working or guard dog
gazbev
I have heard NFU do working dog polices, also Tesco do a policy that includes working and agility dogs. It's only what I've read on another forum,it will be interesting to know which one you go for.
wraivi
Go on a comparison site, check out individual benefits of each policy and as said above, the small print! More Than did me the best deal, was with pet plan for ages, but tried a rip off at renewal. Well worth having insurance, a mate of mine may have to take his lab in for a cruciate joint/ligament op, been told it may be up to £3000-4000. Fortunately he is insured. I wouldn't be without it.
