RubberSideUp
Hi all. Just been browsing the forum and theres lots of useful info to be had But i need some help. I have a Webley raider 10 and have been trying a wide variety of pellet, with mixed results. Has anyone got any suggestions on some good pellets for hunting (pidgeons, rats, rabbits etc.) and some for target shooting. The target pellets dont need to be anything special. just something to have a bit of fun with. Doesnt cost as much as decent pellets. and i've managed to use nearly 2000 pellets in a weekend so i dont want to be paying over the odds for it. However For hunting i'd prefer something more accurate. nothing worse than maiming a bird and having to hit it again to put it down. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks! gus
2000 pellets in a weekend?! hve you got the fully automatic belt-fed webley raider or what? crossman accupel are good, as are the air arms pellets.
SNAKEBITE
Had a quick read through your post "Rubbersideup" and here is my 2p worth........... Stick with the same pellet for hunting and target. It will save a lot of time rezeroing. Secondly try a sample pack of a variety of pellets. Google PELLPAX and away you go. If you don't fancey that, try something along the lines of the new Webley Mosquito pellets, usually if the rifle manufacturer make pellets then those pellets work well in their rifles (Air Arms for example). REmember no two barrells are the same so what works well for one raider might not work for another. It really is "suck it and see" time. kdubya
used to have a raider, it was a very good accurate gun but not seemingly "fashionable, sold it and bought a daystate x2 which soon went the journey? oh well suppose you have to learn, the raider was spot on with accupels accounted for a lot of bunnies! cheers KW
SNAKEBITE
Serves you right for trying to follow fashion instead of what works for you! :look:
08shooter
i think webley mosquitos are the same as accupells only a different tin,can t go wrong with air arms
