JBS
Has anyone took them up on this offer or anyone bought one of these magnets previously? I quite fancy one but want to know if they are worth the money? For some reason my homemade magnet is sucking my battery dry within an hour and if I'm going to buy a new one I want it to last. Buy cheap buy twice and all that
hawkeye
Well i have not bought one recently but i can tell you i bought 2 about 5 years ago and they are still going strong best on the market in my opinion.. Not the cheapest but you only get what you pay for...
TIGHTCHOKE
I've had mine for years too, glad they've redesigned the foot as that part wasn't a strongpoint!
malkiserow
The ground plate on mine is soft and bendy and needs putting into a vice and knocking straight on a regular basis. I hope the new design is more robust. The rest of the machine is good. Wish I had a new ground plate that is sturdy ................

It is the subsequent steel ground plate from you which is bendy. It is hard to see from the little picture on the link but I think you have changed your design again. Mine has a round disc with flat bar coming out from the centre to the edge where it bends 90 degrees to go downwards are the ground spike. Not sure if I remember this right but I thought it might be off another magnet you had/have?

Yeh it is different if you look at the optima rotary on our site it has a picture of the base which is the same except the feet are longer on the ultra l/w one and the spike goes straight down through the middle in to the ground. http://www.ukshootwarehouse.com/new-optima-rotary Sarah
JBS
What battery is everyone using on these rotarys? It comes with a 7ah but they say I can have it without as I already have two of my own. I intend to only use dead birds on it, thanks P.s it's a shame they can't honour this offer for PW members all the time, it would only be 8 quid cheaper but if you don't want the battery (-£17 I've asked) it would come to £128 plus post which is good price Edited March 11, 2014 by JBS
