old rooster Posted March 13, 2014 Report Share Posted March 13, 2014 Hinting that I think conspiracy theorists are mostly ridiculous is not the same as suggesting I blindly accept everything I am told - far from it. From what I have seen, heard and read, nobody is more prone to group-think, blind adherence to unverified accepted wisdom and hearing only what they want to hear are the conspiracy theorists themselves. Governments know this, to the extent that they actively hide programs and activities (such as advanced aircraft development for example) in plain sight, knowing that by chucking a little bit of UFO Reverse Vampire spice out there, they will effectively shut down any chances of serious, structured investigation leading to a compromise of their activities because it will be lost in the mire of rubbish, rumour and uninformed innuendo that will follow. Conspiracy theorists are an absolute gift to anybody with anything to hide, and a rudimentary grasp of psychology. Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me!!
