well iv just got a 303 a few days ago

and as its s/h the stock had some nasty dents and stuff .

i have striped the orignal varnish off and started putting on the tru oil. i havent used this before

i normaly used naper loundon gun stock oil. but im very pleased with the job so far im still working on coats at the moment. but will put pics up soon the stock turnd out to have some lovley grain to it too :blink:

 

im now thinking it looks so good i need to find out if its possible to get he action re/anodized is it :blush:

nice, i was goint to but a 303

i ended up with a remmington 1100 instead! lovely bit of kit, with 30" multi choke barrel and the stock has just been done, i am well pleased, and it only cost me £200, big big bargin i think!

From memory the action is not anodised, but is pearl chrome plated. I guess that it would be possible to get it re plated, but I think that the old plating would need to be removed first. I would consult someone who specialises in electroplating, but I guess that the cost would be prohibitive.

ok thanks webb ill have a think about the action then mabye get it done some other way

 

i was also going to get a 1100 but didnt opted for the 303 insted

putting on the next coat of oil at the moment got sticky fingers now :blush:

 

2 more coats then its ready for the world to see i think
